TJ's Rules and Regulations for Strat-o-Matic League

1) DH rule in effect in AL parks only.

2) Each team will consist of 25 players and each team will have a 10 player minor league.   Each mgr is required to present a 25 man roster before each week’s series starts.

3) Minimum 4 man pitching rotation. Any manager pitching out of rotation will be fined $5. Any starting pitcher put in the minors must miss his next start in the rotation.

4) Full payment for the league must be paid on draft day.   No refunds of any money paid to the league.

5) All games must be played in the time frame of 1 week before and 1 week after the scheduled day of play. Cannot be played until your previous weeks games are caught up.   Official game time is Saturday 10am EST.

6) In the event a player cannot play within the given 2 week period, please notify your opponent asap.  This also takes away the fun for the opposing player.

7) Pitchers may pitch up to 30% of their actual major league total innings pitched in this league's regular season.   Starting pitchers during playoff & World Series (combined) may pitch 15% and relief pitchers may pitch 10% of their actual major league total innings pitched.   Any manager pitching a pitcher over their max will be fined $5 for each inning pitched over their allowable innings.

8) Annual Draft - Takes place in late December (usually after Christmas and before the end of January). All drafts will be recorded at the time of the draft.  Please check draft recorder's accuracy for your team after being posted.

9) Any non-pitching players drafted with less than 100 at bats cannot be on the 25 man roster. They may be drafted and kept in the Minors for future prospects.

10) Managers may trade freely within the year (draft day to secure players deadline).  All trades will be documented and include pitchers last start in the case of a traded pitcher.  Players will pay $1 per player or draft pick traded per team during the season.  All monies collected from this will be used to pay for the cards.

11) Stats are kept at Tom's house and online these stats are unofficial and can be reviewed at anytime.  All managers are responsible for recording and tracking their own stats.

12) Each team plays 3 games per week. ( $80 league fee)

13) During the regular season, randomly choose home or away for the 3 game series vs an opponent, then play the opposite when you play them in the next 3 game series. During the playoff games, The team with the better record will have home field advantage first ( 2-2-1, and 2-3-2).

14) At the end of the season, current managers will be able to secure 7 players from their team for the next season.  The first round of draft will be in reverse finishing order as well with round 2 coming back in reverse order. All other rounds will be in a randomized order with the odd round number drafting and the even round number reversing back.

15) Expansion Drafts*  New teams entering the league will draft 7 players from the remaining players not protected by original teams from the previous year.  A list of unprotected players will be provided if this expansion draft occurs.
